About Veronica

Veronica holds a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, a Master’s Degree in Math & Science Education and is part of the National Faculty for the Buck Institute for Research. She is a University of Central Florida (UCF) Minority in Education Scholar, and a Presidential Award Nominee for Excellence in Science Teaching (PAEMST), the nation's highest honors for teachers of mathematics and science.

TEACHER
Veronica is the creative force behind STEM Futures and she has years of teaching both students and teachers to draw from. From her background to the classroom to space education at NASA Kennedy Space Center, Veronica inspires and transforms 21st Century learning in her home state of Florida and beyond.
RESEARCHER
Earning her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education at the University of Central Florida, Veronica spent some years as an active teacher before her curiosity took her on the road again. She conducted research as a Teacher in Residence at Purdue University and continued her studies at UCF earning her Master's Degree in Math and Science Education. The story will continue as further research for her Doctoral dissertation is already in the works!
INNOVATOR
As a Presidential Award for Excellence in Science Teaching nominee Florida Digital Educator, Veronica continues to innovate in all areas STEM and Project Based Learning related education. She connects local and national businesses to STEM efforts all across the country and her inspiration and focus continues to be for making education better for the next generation of learners and innovators.
